How to collect information without Community Box accounts

If you would like your members, team or clients to submit their details without having to create a Community Box account, you can set up a form and then use either our Google Sheets or Zapier integrations to automatically add their profile details.

Create a form to collect responses

Start by creating a form and adding the fields you want to collect (such as name, contact details, skills, bio). You can use any form builder that has a Zapier and/or Google Sheets integration such as Squarespace forms, Typeform, Paperform etc.

Planning to use Zapier? Jump to that section (you don't need to set up a Google Sheet).

Google Sheets integration

This option is great if you want to review or organize data in the spreadsheet before adding the profiles. Make sure your form is set up to save your data to a linked Google Sheet.

Navigate in your dashboard to Integrations → Google Drive → Import from sheet and follow the stps to connect your Google Sheet to your directory.

Zapier integration

Perfect for frequent submission or when you want a fully automated workflow.

Navigate in your dashboard to Advanced → Zapier Integration then click on Configure Zapier Integration and follow the steps to connect Zapier to your form and your directory.

Each new form submission will create a profile in Community Box, keeping your directory up-to-date without manual imports.
